Cole Adams
Director of T Bar M Sports Camp
Cole first came to T Bar M as a Sports Camp coach in 1996. He was then attending McMurry University and dating Jen, who was also a T Bar M coach. While at McMurry Cole was an All-American on the football team, majored in Math, and was voted "Chief McMurry." And who was the Princess??? That's right...Jen was named "Princess McMurry" that same year. This was just a little foreshadowing to their wedding in 1998.
After graduating, Cole stayed at McMurry for two years as a football coach before being called to the Hill Country to teach and coach at Westwood High School. The Adams continued to work summers at Camp Travis while teaching during the school year. Cole joined the ranks of full time staff as Sports Camp Director in July of 2003. Jen also works part time for camp, building and keeping relationships with alumni and publishing Family Matters - a twice a week devotional for families.
Cole, who will ride miles and miles on his road bike, but he still does the most laundry in the family, and Jen, who keeps schedules in line & makes sure no fun is wasted enjoy the blessings and challenges of raising their four kiddos: Kate, Spanish speaker in the making; Leighton, he’ll challenge anyone to any game any time; Lance, well, we’ll give a nickel to anyone he doesn’t make smile; then there’s Layne, sheer joy & cheerfulness are what he’s all about. He’s got a great story of God’s faithfulness the Adams love to share so be sure to ask them about it when you get the chance!
Trish White
Sports Camp Women's Director
Trish first came to T Bar M in 1999 as a Camp Travis Coach. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with an Early Childhood Education degree. While attending UCA, Trish played volleyball for the Sugar Bears. If the name is not bad enough, a purple bear as a mascot is not too intimidating. Each summer, Trish returned to camp to serve in different areas. She spent three years heading up the girl's work crew program at Camp Travis. While cooking, serving, and cleaning alongside the T.C. girls, God began to draw her heart to camp ministries.
In 2003 Trish was a part of the Timothy Team, a year long discipleship program here at camp. She has then spent a the last year and a half at New Braunfels Christian Academy teaching third grade. Trish joined T Bar M as the Sports Camp Women's Director in the July of 2006. Camp is a place that puts God, kids, and sports together; these are three things that Trish is most passionate about.
