T Bar M has finished a four year partnership with a local, American-run ministry called Abundant Life Minstry. Together we have purchased 30 acres of river-front property where walls and construction of facilities have already begun.
T Bar M has trained local Peruvians to equip them to be able to run Camp Amazon and minister to the kids in Peru through an exciting, encouraging and enthusiastic camp experience.

I want to share a dream I believe to be my Heavenly Father's dream. I see the faces of thousands of children running, laughing, learning, and being loved...a safe place, a refuge, full of God's presence for healing, restoration, and destiny. I see laborers ready to serve, hug, play, and introduce these children to the life altering love of God.
You see, I know these children. They are the faces of the poorest people of the Amazon region; many without fathers, mothers, and love. Some live in homes that we would not let our dogs live in, some no homes at all. I also know a place of hope and safety, tucked away from the city on a quiet river with the most amazing sunset in the world; equipped with cabins, beds, showers, a dining hall; ready to be used...full of activities, challenges, and dreams.

And the laborers...wow! God has so blessed us with an army of believers full of passion and compassion for their own people. I would be lying to say we have sufficient laborers. The truth is we can always use more, but even as this is being written, they train and prepare in the hot Amazon sun; full of enthusiasm.
I am speaking of our upcoming Camp Amazon season here in Iquitos, Peru starting in January of 2011. We are praying and preparing for almost 900 children. It will be our fourth year of camp here and God will do a mighty work, but we ask for your help. The cost this year is only $20.00 per child. This includes four days of nutritious meals, room and board, sports and activities. These children will experience bonfires, singing, teaching, council, and smiles for four days. We have trained staff with helpers, cooks, nurses, leaders, and guides that have been preparing for a year.
