Sports Camp Tennis

Tennis is known as "The Sport of a Lifetime!"  All that is required is enough energy to run around the court!

Both boys and girls can enroll in the Tennis Specialty.  There are 30 spots available each week.   Your child will be grouped by age and/or skill level.  No prior tennis experience needed.  All kids will swing their rackets and hit hundreds of balls! Skills covered include:

  •  Forehands
  •  Backhands
  •  Volleys/Overheads
  •  Serves
  •  Low-key Match Play

Our tennis instructors come from colleges around Texas and the surrounding states.  Many of our instructors play tennis in college and model Christian values on their teams.  Our counselors pass detailed background checks and are highly trained to work with your children.   Our counselors know the importance of building confidence in your child's ability while maintaining a fun and safe environment.   Our counselors not only teach tennis skills, but also the importance of good sportsmanship.

Our four outdoor courts are home to the Tennis Specialty.  These four courts are equipped with 2 water stations to keep your child cool.  We know exercise and hydration go hand in hand and we take hydration seriously here at T Bar M Camps.  Each child is given their very own personalized water bottle and goes with them to the tennis courts.

Tennis is a great way to make new friends, improve technique and learn the art of sportsmanship.  Each child is given a booklet to take home to remind them what they accomplished!  We call this booklet their "Sports Journal".  Your child will write in their Sports Journals each day.  The Journal will include:

  • Goals they have set
  • Notes on tennis instruction
  • Their favorite tennis drills and games
  • An individual skill evaluation from their coach
  • A written note of encouragement from their coach

The Tennis specialty requires no extra clothing or equipment.  T Bar M Camps provide rackets and balls.  However, your child is welcome to bring their own racket.  All rackets will need to be labeled with your child's name and will stay with your child in his/her cabin when not in the tennis specialty.
